The need in Uganda
Many pastors in Uganda have no formal training. Yet, their communities are hungry for God's Word.
Without solid biblical training, new believers can be vulnerable to false teaching and harmful practices. Faithful preaching brings maturity in Christ, strong churches, and transformed communities.
Uganda has over 47 million people, with 82% identifying as Christian (37% evangelical).
Well-trained pastors are urgently needed!
How Langham Preaching works in Uganda
- We partner with local leaders to train pastors and Bible teachers to preach and apply the Bible with clarity and relevance.
- Preaching Clubs meet between seminars to practice, encourage and hold each other accountable.
- Training is delivered by 10 local Ugandan facilitators in heart languages.
- We provide books and resources to equip and sustain preachers in their ministry.
- The movement is growing and becoming self-sustaining.
