Over 50 people gathered earlier this month to mark the launch of Langham’s new bible study course ‘Understanding Mission‘, written by International Ambassador Revd Dr Chris Wright.
The course – which is freely available to download – invites us to journey with him through eight study sessions to understand what the Bible as a whole says about God’s mission and what that means for us as God’s people in the world today.

Each session includes a video, presented by Chris Wright, alongside a study guide with discussion questions. Users can also use a voice recorder, hosted on the website, to transcribe and summarise discussions.
At the ‘Understanding Mission’ launch events in Lisburn (Northern Ireland) and Bristol (England), attendees saw extracts of the videos and learned about the rationale behind the resource.
They also heard from Langham Literature Director Revd Dr Hani Hanna, from Egypt, who shared about Langham’s aim to give a platform to global church leaders through publishing and distribution contextual resources..
At the Lisburn event, many commented that the events had been a huge encouragement and wanted Dr Hani to speak for longer!

The launch in Bristol was held at Trinity College, where attendees could also purchase books by Majority World authors at a pop-up Langham Publishing bookstall.
Visit the Understanding Mission website to find out more and access the digital course for free.
You can also purchase the paperback study guide on Langham Literature’s website.
