Langham Partnership UK and Ireland is delighted to welcome two new members to the team: Kate Walford and Jo Phillips.
Kate Walford joined the team in Carlisle at the beginning of June in the role of Customer Service and Distribution Assistant. She has taken on many of the responsibilities within the Langham Literature team that were previously done by Wayne Johnston who left us in March after many years of service.
Kate is the main point of contact for colleges, bookshops, individuals and the various Langham programmes and entities who wish to purchase our books. She responds to the initial enquiry, handles any payment matters, processes the orders, and liaises with couriers regarding the final delivery. She will also be the main point of contact for the Library Grant Programme when it becomes available again later this financial year.
Kate spent her early career as a research scientist. Prior to joining Langham, she worked in the polymer banknote industry. She collects stamps and enjoys making her own soaps and cosmetics. She helps run the ladies’ social group of her local church. Originally from the Philippines, Kate now lives in Carlisle with her husband and their cat.
We welcome the immediate appointment of our new UKI Executive Assistant, Mrs Jo Phillips, developing the position vacated by Mary Hetherington who recently took early retirement.
Jo has travelled extensively with her family, has spent time as a professional musician (she continues as a worship leader in the church where her husband is Vicar) and has worked as Social Responsibility Office for the Churches Together in Cumbria.
We welcome Jo and wish her every blessing in her Langham role.
